/>They say that they love God,
Yet some of them are the first to curse God.
They say that they are Christians,
Yet some of them are the first to scorn their neighbors.
They say that they are loving, and that they love people,
Then why do they choose whom to love?
Why do they choose to leave some people out their love?
Aren’t Christians supposed to be aspiring to be like Jesus?
Then why do so many have color barriers preventing them from loving everyone?
Why do other Christians only love those, or befriend those who look like them?
Why do other Christians refuse to love gay people, aren’t we Christians too?
Funny thing, the gay Christians don’t have a so smile and let it will continue. True light comes unexpectedly, swiftly like lightning in a storm, or like a fragrance that excites the psyche. If you are uncertain where this light is coming from; be certain that it is coming from a higher place; it is not you; it is being given to you to structure and to mold. Some call it the muse; I call it the spirit; it really doesn’t matter what it is called, it is your epiphany to speak and to share. it can be soft, gentle, fragrant, tearful, horrid, depressing, languid, energized, laughable, kind, mean spirited, conscientious, blissful, bashful, fun, loving, happy, genuine, religious, faithful, endearing, sweet, lovable, eatable, delightful, or gay; these are just a few things that we can be inspired from or find inspirational in some way. All of these can provide sermons or little vignettes to our lives. But of all the things that I can think of; I find that love is the greatest thing in the world to be inspired by, and to be inspired from. I believe that love is the most the most precious and the most beautiful thing that one can find, which is truly inspirational.

I love people, especially people that have the audacity to become your friends. You see friendship is a two way street, and what we’re doing is taking a chance on each other. I am humbled and honored to be someone’s friend, and I am humbled and honored by their friendship too, especially when they pick out a few flaws that I may have, which are meant to help me become a better person or a friend. When they do things like this, they are sharing and blessing me. We can all use an eraser in life; pencils have them, so why can’t we?

As I sit and have my black unsweetened French roast café I smile, look away at my candle burning, and think of how really fortunate I am. I have food to put on the table; I have shelter from rain, and other bad elements of life, and it is very comfortable here. I have clean clothes to wear; and though hitting sixty in two weeks; I feel good because life is wonderful and I am happy to be. I think positive, I love life and laughter. I like tea, but I love coffee. I am able to speak, talk, laugh, cry, drink, eat, sleep, see, hear, touch, feel, smell and taste, and I can also sense. God has provided me with something much deeper; one might say that this is what goes to the soul, and to the bone marrow of life. Good morning everyone!
Posted by Milton Lee Norris at 2:14 PM
Write about the daylight and of the nightfall coming soon.

Write about the energy and of sickness within.
Write about health and of being in good cheer.
Write about somberness, and of the kindness within.
Write about our hopes and of the dreams that we share.
Write about honor and our integrity we share,
Then write about shame and the disgust we should feel.

Write about the meadows, the valleys, rivers, oceans and the falls.
Write about the mountains and write about the streams.
Write for kin folk and of strangers we meet.
Write about peace and of harmony within.
Write about the lives, which we discriminate against.
Write about those lives, which we could have shared too.

Write about the hellos and the greetings we receive.
Write about the goodbyes, be it long or short.
Write about the greetings that we never share,
Then write about the unkind words of which we sometimes speak.

Write about the words of being gentle, kind, warm and gay,
Then think of how you feel when greeting a stranger in need.
Write about a friend, and then write about an enemy.
Write about a lover, then write of being gay.
Write of being truthful, and of the lies that were told.

Write about the harm, and of the lives that were destroyed.
Write of those lies that were told as if they were truths.
Write of those murders which were committed without shame,
And write of the rapes of children, and of women and of men.

Write about the truth and not just what you see.
Write about the discrimination of each race you observe,
Then write of their hurt, their pain, their suffering and of their loved ones lost.
Write of those gays, who could have been your friends,
If you had just been willing to open up your hearts.

Write of those friends that lost their gay friends,
Because they were too ashamed to speak out against you.
Write of the torture and write of the pain,
Of lives lost too soon, yet you did not grieve.

Write of the blood on the hands that are stained,
Then look and see how many hands were those of your friends.
Now write about friendship and of what friendship is,
And ask yourself are those murderers your friends too?
When blood stains their hands, how clean do they wash?

Write of those blood stained bodies, then of your own blood stained hands.
Write of their agony and of their misery and pain.
Write of the Blacks and other minorities that you mistreated too,
And then write of the lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgender,
Which you scorn everyday.
Now ask yourself, isn’t the price they paid just a little too high?

So many lost their lives and many tears were shed;
Write of the tears that you never shed.
Write of the pain that they must have felt,
Then write of the pain that their love ones still feel.

Now write and continue to write,
But this time please write of opening our hearts to include all those we meet.
Let’s write of opening our arms to all that we touch.
Write about love and write about the laughter,
Write about joy and write about the beauty which is in our souls.
Write of the delight of making new friends,
And write of saying hello to someone different than you and me.
Amen
Posted by Milton Lee Norris at 8:13 PM<div your blessings that enable me to see;
The least I could do is light this candle for you my Lord.

So I light this candle out of love,
Out of friendship and out of cheer,
Out of joy and out of laugher for the pleasure given to me;
Oh I light this candle for you my Lord.
And I will continue to light these candles daily for you my Lord,
Because when I do I’m lighting this candle for the world each time.
For the love and for the prayers that I pray;
Lord God I light this candle for you type='text'>When Day Is Done, Love And Laughter Becomes Our Hope by Milton Lee Norris

FRIDAY, AUGUST 28, 2009

When day is done, another day will soon follow.
This is one of the blessings, which we are blessed to see.
When day is done, tomorrow will become the new day, and then it too will be done.
How wonderful our blessings are, so gentle, sweet and ever so memorable.
It is like the clouds, which have moved enabling the sun to shine through.
It is like the rain, which stops allowing the Angels to wipe their tears,
And begin to soothe our hearts,
So that we may shed some tears.

When day is done, it’s joy in the evening,
Then we wait for a bright new morn.
When day is done, it’s time to say so long.
When day is done, it’s our time to smile, for we have shared the joy of life.
When day is done, it’s our passion that brings us closer together.
We now understand that there really is a how to love somebody.

When day is done, we find that we love and we love more passionately.
When day is done, we to find we want to give and keep on giving.
When day is done, we are finally learning how to love.
When day is done, we are willing to love a little bigger than we did before.
When day is done, we now understand that he had a special kind of love.
When day is done, we want to share in this special kind of love.

We want to share because we know how real it is, and how real he was.
We want to share just part of a vision so clear.
We want to share a glimpse of a birth so rare.
We want to share the thrill of a wonderful life.

When day is done, we want to share that love so rare.
When day is done, we want to share that smile so real.
When day is done, we want to share that laugh once laughed.
When day is done, we want to share that voice once sung.
When day is done, we want to learn how to really love.

It is in love that we hope.
It is in love that we dream.
It is in love that we cry.
It is in love that we tremble.
Now we understand that “Love is the most precious thing in the world,
It’s beautiful, and then there’s the laughter.”
We want to share in this wonderment of life.
Amen
Posted by Milton Lee Norris at 9:24 AM
Before It Started To Rain by Milton Lee Norris

FRIDAY, AUGUST 28, 2009

I don’t mind shedding tears; it’s a natural thing to do.
It’s like laughter in a way; it’s spontaneous and enriching too.
So why should all the women have all the fun with tears;
They are not the only ones who need a simple wash.
We all can use a rinse or two,
That’s just a part of what tears do.

For as tears flow, they cleanse your spirit too.
It feels good to release this water,
Just the same as when you pee,
So don’t be afraid to let your water run.
For as you can hurt yourself if you don’t release,
The same is true when holding back those tears.

Don’t hold back that whimper or that rain,
Let the streams flow, so that your life can be enhanced.
Live, smile and know that when you cry, you’ll see a clearer day.
So let the men, and let the boys participate in this delight.
It’s nothing to be ashamed of; it’s as natural as light.

So let down your barriers that prevent you from seeing bright and feeling free.
Tears enhance the living as the rain enhances life.
As the buds begin to flower because of a simple rain,
Just think what could happen from a simple tear that falls.

As the tears fall toward the ground, it’s joy that leaps around.
Your whimper becomes part of a chorus of a new song being sung.
It chimes in with the sound as the morning sun awakes,
So be glad for these tears, they’re telling of your fate.
Rejoice, rejoice for these tears are teaching you.

They can teach you about strife and pain,
And though reluctant to shed those tears,
Once released the pain begins to subside.
So why endure when simple tears will do?

Many tears shed can release the hidden pain within,
And a simple burst of tears will let out all of your heartfelt pain.
So bleed those tears as if you’re giving blood,
They are meant to be shared both in joy and when in pain.
But in order to feel that joy, you must first release some tears.

Like the mountain falls that flow, let your thoughts inside explode.
Feel that spirit as you let your tears begin,
Feel the rupture of your troubled soul within.
Feel that freedom that has incarcerated you for all too long.
So spread the joy of giving by shedding those simple tears.
Posted by Milton Lee Norris at 7:28 PM
<img width='1' height='1' weeping,
So that she can see more clearly from heaven above.
And as she weeps, the rain is forced to fall.
The falling rain, the pitter, patter,
The falling rain, the splash and spatter,
The falling rain, the wind, the leaves,
The falling rain, the tires and the trees,
The falling rain, the thunder, and the lightening,
The falling rain, the smell and the breeze
The falling rain, the cleansing from Mother Nature

She breathes in and out with the wind, so strong and gentle,
And when she sneezes, perhaps a tree branch or trees do topple,
As the wind grows stronger.
And when she blows her nose, it thunders and then the lightening crackles,
As she violently coughs and sneezes to clear her throat and nostrils,
For she too must cleanse her skies and heavens,
So that she can make fresh air that we may breathe.

Mother Nature is doing what she is supposed to do,
So allow her to nurture you as she calms her bellowing cough and sneeze;
She will be smiling soon, and the sun and calm breeze
Will return from behind the clouds above
And the bigger her smile and grin, the calmer she becomes,
And as this storm has finished, and we breathe a sigh,
Remember, if it weren’t for Mother Nature, and the rain,
The storms, the sun, the wind, we wouldn’t be able to breath at all.

We are blessed, so enjoy all the blessings that come your way.
Smile for this is how we live and breathe.
Mother Nature has wept, so that we may breathe,
Mother Nature has cried, and we too can see more clearly from this good earth.
Posted by Milton Lee Norris at 5:04 AM
<img width='1' height='1' Some of us smile with our eyes; some of us smile with our hands, as in a handshake when we greet one another, and some of us are artists, who smile in many ways. For some of us, it our legs, our feet, our arms and our heads that smile; we dance and what a smile that is. Smiles can make us tingle, as when thinking about the love of a friend, or a sweetheart so dear, and then there’s the chill than runs down our backs with joy on a happy occasion.

There are all different ways of smiling, and what a joy they are. Some of us smile when we sing a song, or play an instrument, and some of us smile when we speak those words a writer wrote so sweet. However we smile, we all have a heart with a different kind of smile, and then there’s our spirits, which leave the most unforgettable smiles. Anything that is related to joy creates a smile, either from within or from outside; it really is amazing, because our bodies and spirits don’t have to be taught; they just know just how to react; we simply use God’s most perfect instrument. What kind of message are you sending the world about loving, and the Christian beliefs that you say that you have? Christ was denied by the world, and is still being denied by many; when the so-called Christians of this world deny their own gay children and others, who do they think they’re really denying? What does that say about their beliefs in Jesus, and His teachings of loving one another?

Your gay children don’t have any trouble loving you, but for some reason, you have a problem loving them. Many of you can’t stand your own children, because God didn’t give you what you wanted. Others tell their gay children that they really love them, but they don’t, how can they, if they fail to accept them for who they are? “Love is the most precious thing in the world, it’s beautiful, and then there’s the laughter.” Remember love is not just a word that you say to someone, or a thought that jumps out of your mouth, no love is showing another person that you love them. You must show love or it is not an act of affection, that’s one of the how to of loving someone; you must show them an act or acts of how you really feel, and if it doesn’t excite you, if it doesn’t put you in some kind of euphoric state, then you really haven’t got the how to of love yet. The hair, the knees, their chest or their arse, their stomach or their thighs, their hips, their waist or their elbow, their chin, or their height or weight, or perhaps is it that simple smile? When does their heart and their spirit come into play, or does, and if so, how do you react? What intrigues you about someone? type='text'>Love and Laughter by Milton Lee Norris

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 23, 2009

How great is the love, how wonderful the laughter
How wonderful the love, how great is the laughter
Both are splendid, both are refreshing and both soothe the soul and heal,
But which one would you rather have as a constant companion?
Which would you rather hug and snuggle up with?
Which would you rather tell a story and fix breakfast for,
Or Iron a shirt, or wipe their forehead, or kiss their lips and whisper
Sweet nothings which are really something into their ears?
I think this would be someone to love and someone you love
Because you could tell them a story, feel their breath as you kiss them,
Stroke their body as you soothe their aching pains and comfort them with just a look.
I think that this would be someone, some companion to love, to cherish,
To smile with, to talk with, to play with, to walk with, to have café with
To joke with, to swim with, to work with, to be with, whether it be on a sofa,
Whether it be on a bed, in the theatre, in a car, in church, at a party, at a dance,
At a wedding, in the shower, on the grass or on the sand, holding hands, dancing together,
Singing together, eating together, being together silently watching and listening to each other’s thoughts.
A little wine and then a little laughter just to complete being alone together.
I’ll take the love because then I can laugh with someone.
I’ll take the love because then I can hold someone and cuddle them.
I’ll take the love because I can nurture them as I love them more.
I’ll take this person because I do love him, for I am somebody who is worth something,
And I want to share my being with this person because I believe he is worth my love, and
He is showing me his love by the way he looks at me, smiles at me, comforts me, tickles me,
Cooks for me, writes for me, how he is with me in laughter and tears, supports me in the good times and the rough times and just allows me to be in silence sometimes for he knows that this is something we both need for ourselves and we are willing to wait as each other listens to their space and body and this world, and then sometimes we just hold each other silently listening to each others smiles, our lips, our eyes and ears and heart beat as we grow closer together falling in love more enjoying to romance, those rough edges and know how to love each other, and how to make each other laugh sometimes with words, sometimes not, yes this is the love which is refreshing, which is spontaneous, which is silent, which is firm, which is like a warm cool rain on a spring day, how beautiful this feeling of love can be, it can make you feel so much joy that tears begin to fall as your soul is cleansed, and as you begin to laugh for this enormous joyous feeling you really know that yes love is the most beautiful thing in the world and then there’s the laughter. Love, sharing, giving, being, taking, and receiving, how beautiful life is whether alone or with someone, but when you have that person to be with, to talk with, to have café and dinner with, to talk with, to cuddle with, yes this is love coming alive, and it’s the most beautiful thing in the world, it’s charming, it’s sensitive, emotional, and simply wonderful because you’re sharing you with that special someone and you are happily in love!
Posted by Milton Lee Norris at 11:42 AM

Joy, Praise and Love by Milton Lee Norris

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 29, 2009

A poem from the "Born In The Wrong Country" by Milton Lee Norris

Praise to you for the journey that continues and for the journeys that await.

Thanks for the Blessing! When in times of sorrow one does not usually think of joy,

for that just seems so far too removed. In thinking about the slavery

that was done to you for it just didn’t happen for those were cruel acts.

Cruel things just don’t happen as one might want us to believe

for something of evil takes planning indeed. It takes a mind to be cruel

just as it takes a mind to love, there is a how to hate, but many more of how to love,

just as there are so many ways to love, there are too many ways to hate,

and that’s where cruelty comes from; it comes out of hate,

for hate is not natural as the love that we make.

For as there is that wonderful love that is supreme,

there is also that hate which is so cruel and dark.

Love is for those wonderful things for the joy that it brings

from the spirit within,

from the top of your head to the bottom of your feet

joy makes one tingle like one’s old lost friend. There is joy in the morning,

there’s joy at night, there’s joy in the afternoon,

there’s joy in the evening. There’s joy for the moon

and more for the sun, and joy for the rain that comes in early spring.

There is much joy at births and of birthdays that come,

but the joy of a friend is the best joy there is.

I sing for the joy of the slaves that have gone

who knew only of torment and grief that was borne.

For evil brings sadness without a glimmer of hope

and that is the cruelest that was done to you.

I sing praise to you for all the things that you have suffered

and pray for the comfort of that pain once endured.

But with the journeys that you have made, we keep praying for a day

when we can all be each other friendships to be made,

for friendship is a love of a strength that you showed

for in your pain you showed us how to love.

So as we gather around in this room filled with much hope and joy,

we thank you for those journeys of yours.

We pray to keep striking down those cruelest of thoughts

for man should be ashamed of his innermost thoughts,

for sicknesses are born but take nurturing to grow,

so now we ask that they never be given even the time to be explored,

for all of those cruel acts just stole from the lives,

of a people so proud that were afraid to cry,

but in their fear they taught us how to love,

so again we thank them for their torment and tears,

for they showed us how to live and remain more alive.

Love is not a dream neither is the hate

but love makes one laugh and feel so much joy,

so we pray that we may continue to love

and to share so that we may to continue to teach those we love.

For all those slaves of unmentionable crimes,

we thank you for your love that you’ve sent from time to time.

And if we ever get to feel that spirit of love,

then we’ll soar like the birds that are leavingjavascript:void(0) their nests.

So we will sing of the joy that awaits our world,

and we sing to the world of a joy that’s once received,

for the love that’s a coming like the air that we breathe.
Posted by Milton Lee have to do is try and understand,
that if I haven’t judged you for everything you think,
then why should you now judge me because of the way I think?
There comes a time when people should have some respect
even though they haven’t used it, or perhaps they just forgot.
In any case you should remember when we were growing up,
a time when you loved us oh so much then,
or was that just pretending or were you really our friends?
And if you really were a friend of ours, then please be one right now,
and try to be accepting of my life that’s not so different than yours right now,
for in our relationships, there’s joy, there’s laughter and friendship too,
not saying that there’s no hardships because they do come too,
but that joy and friendship is based on a real love we share,
that when we were growing up you once shared with us too,
so don’t be hypocritical now as this nation is with us,
for this is our time of need, and even if we differ,
we should still be the same to you,
for type='text'>An Apology, Not So Fast

FRIDAY, JULY 3, 2009

An Apology, Not So Fast
By Milton Lee Norris

The Senate Apology Bill for slavery passed. Unfortunately, this bill does not thrill me; I say no to this apology, which the senate has deemed wonderful, and that’s an unequivocal no. For those who are wondering why, allow me to explain. I recently published a book entitled “Born In The Wrong Country,” and in this book I talk about many things; one of the things that I talk about is the ‘how to’, which covers just about everything we do. I also talk extensively about Slavery in , and an apology, which had never been given.

Basically, this government has used the AAPC, (African-American People of Color,) like rags, only to be used over and over, and then thrown out, without giving credit, where the real credit belongs. However, it really doesn’t surprise me, that with an African-American President, that the senate would attempt a debacle apology bill as such. Now the senate can finally say that after more than 140 years, the has apologized. Look how long this country took to finally admit to what is called the Tuskegee Experiment, an experiment where African-American men were used, without their knowledge, an experiment, which was deadly, and which lasted forty years.

When constructing this kind of apology, one must look a one thing in particular, and that is forgiveness. If that is not taken into consideration, and I do have my doubts, then the ‘how to’ write and construct a formal apology is lost. To be done right, this apology must be vividly clear, gut wrenching, and truthful. As writers of such a bill, they must be willing to expose elements that might not present this country in such a favorable light; it requires enormous sacrifice; there isn’t any sacrifice in this bill.

Not that the AAPC would or could ever forgive this country for the atrocities, that were committed against them, but in thinking about how to construct this apology, one must be willing to delve into the hearts, minds and the spirits of the African-America People of Color. This apology cannot be a slam dunk case, where basically, all the senate says, is that we apologize; this kind of rhetoric will not work, because it is hollow, and without substance. In my opinion, the only thing that it has accomplished is angering the African-American People of Color.

There must be some kind of atonement; one must truly show how sorry they are for the ills that they caused. Frankly, this bill seems like a pacifier, something that was designed to placate the African-American People of Color; it’s laughable, but more than that, it is a slap in the face to all African-American People of Color. African-American People of Color should never allow anyone, especially this country and those who created such a flagrant bill, to pacify or short change us in any way. We should not allow any compromise; this bill does not honor the African-American People of Color. The way that this bill is written, only continues to say one thing; still does not consider the African-American People of Color important or deserving, and that is a very sad scenario. This bill shows that they really refuse to understand the magnitude of sins that were perpetuated against the AAPC; it also demonstrates that this senate, really has no concept of what an apology means to the African-American People of Color.

Does the Senate think that they can get away with throwing a curve ball at the African-American People of Color? Shame on them; this shows their insensitivity; it shows that they just want to pass something quick, so that they can say that the finally made a formal apology. As the first African-American President, I believe that they are using President Barack Obama’s comments to sort of solidify their bill. The fact that President Barack Obama is extremely important to the African American People of Color, the fact he is the first Black president of the , is really inconsequential; this apology must be handled as if a birth is happening, because it is; this birth affects millions of AAPC, and the entire country. Remember, there were countless numbers of our ancestors that suffered extreme cruelty, torture and brutality, at the hand of at this country, and still that does not tell all that was done to them. The death toll from when the African slaves were bought, stolen and brought to this country, through what is now know as “The Middle Passage,” is really unknown, and as I mention in “Born In The Wrong Country,” many of us are still suffering in some way, even today. A true apology needs be written, that admits to all of the transgressions of the , which were done to the African-American People of Color, so not so fast America.

In my book, Born In The Wrong Country, I speak about slavery in this country, and about an apology that has never been made. For more on the subject, one can view my website at http://www.wrongcountry.com , which will lead them to where they can also purchase the book if they so choose. In “Born In The Wrong Country,” I state, “To have never said that they were sorry, never to have admitted that slavery was a cruel and unusual treatment, and that it was a crime against humanity, is a crime in itself, and it remains a cruel and unusual punishment. Never to say that one is sorry, never to admit to such a terrible wrong is inexcusable, it’s the intolerable height of arrogance, so to forgive, I must say unequivocally no. How in the world can one expect such when one has violated the African-American People of Color in so many ways, and not by accident? Look at the crimes for that’s what they were, they were beyond criminal, but these unspeakable crimes were allowed to go unpunished, so one should never expect to be forgiven without a total admission and atonement, for without this, it remains impossible for a real healing to begin, and the AAPC remain without closure.”

When it comes to apologizing to someone, even children learn quickly about what it means to apologize; parents teach them about feelings and hurt. At an early age children are taught that their apology must come from the heart, if it is to be believed and make someone feel better. If children know and understand this, then why doesn’t the US Senate at least show the same, in regards to their apology bill for slavery? Their apology must speak of the sins, which were allowed to continue to do harm to the AAPC. This perpetuation allowed this nation to overlook the continual sadistic pain, which was being inflicted upon the African-American People of Color, who did them no harm. The apology must also encompass the fact, that even after the abolition of slavery, this government still allowed cruel and unjust treatment of the African-American People of Color.

After the abolition of slavery, the way that this government allowed the African-American People of Color to be treated was unconscionable. What the senate has listed in their apology shows that once again, that they do not want to tell the real story, but are bent on telling their story, as in their history. To refuse to spell out in detail, the heinous murders, rapes, molestations, heartaches, bloodshed, inhumanness, and terrorism, which was allowed to continue to be perpetuated in the lives of the African-American People of Color, is a crime. So when the senate has the arrogant audacity to say that they, " the Senate passed a bill stating that the US Congress acknowledges the fundamental injustice, cruelty, brutality, and inhumanity of slavery and Jim Crow law,” I say that this is not enough, not by a long shot.

This apology is something that must be gotten right the first time; this government has had over 140 years to get it right; there is no excuse for not getting it right. The African-American People of Color need closure; we need a true apology, without a disclaimer clause. We need an admission of guilt; and we need some kind of meaningful reparations, in order for any kind of apology, to be deemed as sincere, by the African-American People of Color.

This so-called apology that the senate passed, reminds me of Marvin Gaye’s song lyrics, “Make me wanna holler,” from his Inner City Blues cut. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qDckI2P_DPA I say this because after what has been done to the African-American People of Color, during and after slavery, is simply an abomination. For the senate, which is now ready to pat themselves on the back, for what they consider a job well done, is also a travesty. Again, I say not so fast; first this government must be responsible, and by being responsible, they must take on the accountability to not only apologize, but go much farther. They must be willing to admit that the atrocities committed by their forefathers and foremothers, was a crime against humanity.

As pointed out in my book, “Born In The Wrong Country,” there must be an atonement, and then an apology before the entire world. As I say in my book, “An olive branch must be extended to the Black race that did you no harm; it was you that did unspeakable harm to the Black race. When so much harm has been done by this nation, it is this nation that must first take the responsibility and show that this government will no longer do harm to the African-American People of Color before any trust can ever be established. This government must be stark raving mad if they think that we’ll trust them if they are not even willing to be responsive to that most crucial need.”

There is also another reason that this must be done; doing so without this atonement will not allow for any closure, and we as AAPC will continue to look back. “Born In The Wrong Country,” clearly states the reason for looking back. “There is a reason that I must look back because in all of this time, there has been no apology ever made to the African-American People of Color here in this country. There was a formal apology to the Japanese, but not to the African-American People of Color, the Black people here in the , and like I said before, that still irks me. It angers me a great deal, but what really angers me, and sends chills down my spine is the abject treatment of these slaves, these people, these human beings, my brothers and sisters.

When I look at the years of difference of what was done to the Japanese, what was done to the Blacks and look at how long it took this country to apologize to the Japanese, and then compare the time when slavery ended to the time of the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, I really get infuriated because it only took a few short years before this country apologized to Japan. However, after over one hundred and thirty-five years, the African-American People of Color have never received an apology. You are probably saying we have read this already, and you have, but still after all that time we wait, and in telling you about this wait, it becomes necessary to make it crystal clear as to what happened in this time of American history.”

Now that the senate has finally passed their so-called proposed apology bill, I must ask, when is this country going to finally address the Voting Rights Bill of 1965, and make this permanent, and without amendments? Also, when is this country going to bring all of the constitutional rights, which have been afforded White America to the AAPC, and to every American, regardless of race, creed, color, gender or religion? , don’t you think it’s time to stop playing games with peoples lives and welfare? When are you going to get real, and answer the questions that have plagued the AAPC, ever since you said that we were only 3/5 of a human being? When is the finally going to do right by the African-American People of Color, and by that, I mean finally pay its debt to the African-American People of Color?

The senate of the United States of America should not celebrate their apology bill; they have much to answer, and much more work. My prayer is simple; it is my hope the Senate of The United States of America will go back to work, and come up with some much more appropriate for Juneteenth and the African-American People of Color, and as with Japan, without a disclaimer clause.
Posted by Milton Lee Norris at 6:06 AM

Empowering Each Other: Born In The Wrong Country is a Riveting New Book

Empowering Each Other: Born In The Wrong Country is a Riveting New Book

For Being Precious

I woke up this morning, and I prayed for the children. I prayed for them because they need our help; far too many of them are too vulnerable to the cruelty of some children, and adults in our world. Whether gay or straight, their looks and what other people see as weak, make them an easy target. I watched Oprah’s show about three children, who decided to leave our world, because too many people are just not kind. Too many parents aren’t parenting the right way, because they are not watching their children when they attack, or because they don’t care. If your children can’t be your first priority, then you need help, because your children cannot count on you. So as we pray for the children, let’s also say a prayer for the parents, and adults in our world. I applaud Oprah for the ugly truth that her show focuses on sometimes; her way of handling torment and pain is a lesson that we all need to take care, and take care of one another. We really are our brothers and sisters keepers. Good morning everyone!

Feeling The Joy of Rain Whenever It Comes

Feeling the joy of the day doesn’t always take the sunshine that we want, or that we’re used to. Why not be still and enjoy the sun that we have, or the rain that we have? How bright your day becomes is totally up to you, if you want to see clouds, you’ll see those clouds. If you want to see rain, you’ll see that rain too, and if you want to see a brighter day, with sunshine and joy, you will see that sunny day, and you’ll feel it as you begin your day.

Where would you like to go on this beautiful spring day, and what kind of day would you like to have?

I went outside to water myself, because it was raining. I just thought I’d water my spirit and grow like the trees, the flowers and the grass, on that wonderful spring day. I really didn’t need to go outside, but I am glad that I did; I feel myself sprouting, and growing just like the trees, the flowers, the grass, and you. Oh how great this water is; it is special, and if you allow yourself to get wet; you too might feel a special warmth and growth. Water, fresh water from above has blessed me today, and I am truly grateful! You know, I didn’t even get wet. When reading, one question that might be asked is: Is the United States moving, and has the government forgotten to tell its people? With all of the money that has been spent on waging a war, killing people, outsourcing jobs overseas, families without jobs, foreclosures, no insurance, and people starving right here in the United States of America, the richest country in the world, wouldn’t that make you wonder?

You see Born In The Wrong Country is a book about the American people’s pain and suffering now, and the pain and suffering of the African American People of Color, which started hundreds of years ago. You add terrorism, arrogance, and stupidity, and you begin to delve into Born In The Wrong Country. Add God and medical terrorism, and you begin to dig even deeper. Now add a weapon of mass destruction that is still destroying and you begin to get to the backbone of what this book is all about.

Born In The Wrong Country is not just about grief because it speaks of blessings; it also speaks of how some of those blessings may have been thrown away. It is a book about friendship, and it’s about love, a crown that both rich and poor alike can wear. It is also about death and destruction, but it also speaks of birth. It is about dreams, hard work, and believing that dreams can come true if you believe in yourself. Truth has a way of knocking down walls of silence; Born In The Wrong Country just unearths some of these truths, revealing the cries of a people, and many other people.

Born In The Wrong Country is about healing, about parenting, and how to be a good parent and a friend, especially to your gay children, who still love you and count on you. It’s about our wonderful gay men and women, many just like the author, who just want to be wanted and want to be loved by their own families. Gay people are people that hurt and feel emotional pain too, but it’s not all about gay people; it’s about the so-called straight people too. As the author says, “God loves us all; there are no chosen; we are all God’s chosen people.”

Born In The Wrong Country is about recognition; it’s about the religion that many people need to search and find the ‘how to’ about loving. Born In The Wrong Country is not about just one group of people, but about all of us. Born In The Wrong Country talks about our environment and this good earth, and leaving things undisturbed.

Take a journey by reading Born In The Wrong Country and find out why its author gave the book this title. Simply put, everyone wants and needs to feel wanted, especially in their own country. One may just find out things that may surprise, haunt and even enlighten you. Born In The Wrong Country exposes America’s darkest secret, the slavery of the African American People of Color, and asks for a formal apology that has never been given.

Born In The Wrong Country is a book about many things; some of the areas that it focuses on are some of ills of this country, past and present. At the heart of these ills is slavery in America, terrorism relating slavery, terrorism in the 21 century, and America’s blind arrogance.

ISBN# -978-0-578-00048-0

The book can be placed online through online retailers, including:
www.lulu.com; www.amazon.com;
www.barnesandnoble.com, and others.

BEWARE OF ARROGANCE

When people think that their way is the only way, they become so rigid that they are unwilling to bend, and this too can be a form of arrogance, it can also be the makings of disaster.

Look at this government and those currently in power in this administration. Look at their higher than though attitude, including the current man sitting in the White House. Beware of the politics of John McCain for it seems that his protégé is George Bush, and look at his record. So beware America because John McCain is following in George Bush’s footsteps; there is no change there so beware.

Elect Barack Obama and Joe Biden to win back America for Americans and help build our integrity again. Take out the disease that’s be sucking America dry for the last eight years and give yourself credit for seeing past the fraudulent Republican party.

Empowering Each Other

Empowerment is a powerful word, which simply means giving power to, giving someone a greater sense confidence. It is very crucial that we believe that we are important, that we are in this struggle together, that we do have a say in who governs our lives, because this is how we must act so that we can send a message loud and clear that we care about ourselves, the welfare of our families and friends, and that we care about this country, and very important we are tired of being robbed.

One of the greatest ways that you can empower yourself is to vote. Palin sounds like a puppet that is really talking to herself, but this is only to draw attention to her and the McCain ticket. She glides over questions not answering them as if she doesn’t realize what she’s doing.

Let’s face it, when we see someone talking to himself or herself when walking down the street, we look and pay attention to this person because of the uncertainty of what this person might do, so we watch this person carefully. As with Palin, people listen to her in much the same way, and now that the media has given her so much attention just as they do some new rock star, this allows her to make headlines because this is news; some people are paying attention because they are putting a spotlight on her as if she is singing some great new tune. Unfortunately there is no depth to the sound of her voice and it doesn’t sound like she has any real thought of her own, but this too is only to draw attention.

So long as the media keeps the spotlight on her, that means some people are listening to her and the McCain camp knows this, and no matter what her qualifications may or may not be, and no matter if she is even qualified to hold the position that she has it doesn’t matter, because she’s bringing the spotlight to the McCain ticket and this also allows John McCain to get some rest. Whether this will backfire is questionable, perhaps it will, but at this point with Obama’s lead getting larger it’s a chance they’re willing to take.

The more I see and hear each day convinces me that Palin was chosen to help try and bring down the Obama campaign because of her sharp tongue. The media knows that Palin has a teenage pregnant daughter, and McCain probably felt that there’s just so much to be said on that issue because the daughter is still part of the candidate’s family, and that would become a hands-off issue, which it did. Also there is that issue in her own state with the firing of the state trouper, which does involve her that has not been resolved. http://www.adn.com/news/politics/story/510080.html

It seems that many are backing off because of the fact that she is a woman with certain problems in her family and the media doesn’t know how to handle this mouth piece. This is a mouth piece with a very pointed tongue that was chosen as the designated attack dog so to speak, knowing that the American people would be kinder to McCain and her because they would only go but just so far.
